Listen, Inc. was founded in 1995 by a group of former Brüel & Kj?r engineers and project managers who recognized that manufacturers of electroacoustic products were frustrated with being forced to use different and typically incompatible measurement systems for production testing and R&D. By not having a common test and measurement platform, Production and R&D groups had great difficulty comparing measurement results. From this, Listen's SoundWare? product development philosophy was born - create application-specific software modules that satisfy particular measurement requirements.

Instead of relying on proprietary hardware for data acquisition and generating test signals, Listen incorporates high-quality sound cards used in professional audio applications.
